NewMark Merrill Companies Team Continues to Grow

Woodland Hills, CA – NewMark Merrill Companies, Inc., a Woodland Hills, California-based retail shopping center owner, continues to grow its team of shopping center professionals.

Throughout the pandemic, the Company continued to make investments and improvements in their properties, as well as invest in their team.

As the re-opening of the company’s markets continue, additional team members have been brought on to support NewMark Merrill’s growth.

 Recently, the company has added six new team members ranging from property management to human resources to accounting.

Please meet our newest team members:

 

  • Liliana Palacios, our new Assistant Property Manager, will oversee Anaheim Town Square in Anaheim, CA, among other properties.  She comes to us with varied property management experience, most recently with a large real estate investment trust.
Larissa Yllescas 

Larissa Yllescas is our new HR Coordinator in our Woodland Hills headquarters. Previously she served as HR coordinator at a national accounting and advisory services firm.  She works with our People Support and Recruiting Operations teams.


Isak Sabzanov

Isak Sabzanov, our new Senior Property Accountant in Woodland Hills, previously worked for NewMark Merrill for four years. Most recently he worked as a Senior Property Accountant for a large real estate investment firm.

 

  • Earl Gratuito, our new Assistant Property Manager in Sacramento, has been added to support our properties in the Sacramento area including Southgate Plaza, Marketplace 99, Valley Mack Plaza, and Madison Marketplace among others. Earl previously worked at a global commercial real estate services firm.

 

  • Edwin Morgan, our new CAM Accountant based in Woodland Hills, comes to us with over 20+ years of real estate industry experience, most recently serving as Senior Property Accountant at a national shopping center owner and operator.

 

  • Max Kinsbruner, our new Operations Assistant, recently graduated from The University of Alabama with a degree in Business Finance with a specialization in Real Estate and a Masters in Management with a concentration in Real Estate.
Barret Bradley

  •   Barret Bradley hired as Vice President of Acquisitions & Development for the company’s San Diego Division. In his role, Mr. Bradley is responsible for sourcing and overseeing acquisitions of existing retail properties in addition to identifying and managing new development projects within San Diego County, South Orange County, and South Riverside County.

 Onsite Safety, Inc. expanded into an additional 6,400 SF in suites 1022-1024 at 2464 West SR 426, occupying a total of 22,705 SF. Onsite Safety specializes in workplace safety supplies and OSHA safety classes.

Primera Court II in Lake Mary, FL Completes Renewal and Expansions for Long-Term Tenants

ORLANDO – Mary Frances West, CCIM, Vice President at NAI Realvest, recently completed a renewal and expansion for long-term tenants at Primera Court II, 735 Primera Blvd, Lake Mary, Florida.  West represents the owner, Interchange Primera Court II, LLC.  The property is a two-story, 31,840 SF office building located in the Primera Office Park.

 Ajax Building Corporation specializes in commercial construction.  They expanded into an additional 1,408 SF in suite 210 for a total of 2,816 SF. 

 Alkan Mortgage Corporation dba Certified Mortgage Planners of Florida is a long-term tenant.  They renewed their lease of suite 110 with 2,670 SF.

Monroe Commerce Park in Sanford, FL Signs Three New Industrial Leases

ORLANDO, FL – Mary Frances West, CCIM, Vice President at NAI Realvest, recently completed 3 industrial leases totaling 11,625 SF in Monroe Commerce Park in Sanford.  West represents the owners, CWP Monroe Investors, LLC and Ocala North Partnership, LLC.

 Monroe Commerce Park was recently re-branded (formerly known as Monroe CommerCenter South) and is located at Church Street & Monroe Road, Sanford.  The industrial park is 116,500 SF and is 90% leased. 

 Ligonier Ministries, Inc. signed a new lease for 4,000 SF at 655 Progress Way.  Ligonier Ministries is a multi-media Christian outreach organization.

Farah Novin 

Hemera Holdings, Inc. originally leased 3,750 SF at 4168 Flex Court in December 2020.  They are expanding into an additional 2,000 SF at 631 Progress Way for a total of 5,750 SF, as demand for their business is booming.

 Hemera Holdings is one of the largest suppliers of disposable medical supplies such as gloves, face masks, hand sanitizer, etc.  They were represented by Farah Novin  of Coldwell Banker Realty.

Sarah Castor 

Builder Services Group, Inc. renewed their lease of 5,625 SF at 4176 Flex Court. The company is based primarily in Daytona Beach – this is an adjunct location.  The tenant was represented by Sarah Castor with Cresa.

Schaffer Construction, LLC is a general contractor, development and development services firm.  They have been in business since 2012 and have offices in Lake Mary and Frisco, Texas.  They leased suite 150 with 1,122 SF. 

 Unity Prosthetics & Orthotics is a supplier of prosthetics and orthotics.  They leased 1,408 SF in suite 205 and were represented by Justin Walker with Harbert Realty.

St. Regis Punta Mita beachfront hotel in Mexico sold

MIAMI, FL – JLL Hotels & Hospitality announced it closed the sale of the luxurious, beachfront St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, located in Punta de Mita, Nayarit, Mexico.

 JLL represented the seller to complete the sale to a joint venture owned by Vertex Real Estate Investors, through its Fund II, and Grupo MRP, through its Fund V.

The JLL Hotels & Hospitality team representing the seller was led by Managing Director Gregory Rumpel and Senior Vice President Carolina Lacerda.

The St. Regis Punta Mita resort opened in 2008 and consists of a total of 120 keys, including 31 suites.

 The hotel also features six food and beverage outlets, 7,806 square feet of indoor and terrace meeting and conference space, an indoor/outdoor spa totaling 14,235 square feet, a 2,863-square-foot fitness center and three infinity pools with hot tubs.

Alslo: a children’s club, over 1,600 square feet of boutique and retail space, and offers access to a Championship 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, a private beach and tennis center, containing five courts.

 The hotel is located within the gated community of Punta Mita. Punta Mita is surrounded by pristine beaches, being positioned along the Pacific Ocean and Banderas Bay on Mexico’s West Coast, with world-class amenities, across 1,500 acres. 

The community is also proximate to Puerto Vallarta’s international airport, offering direct flights from major markets across the world.
