PHOENIX, AZ– Riding an industrial boom, Graycor Construction Company has expanded and promoted members of its Southwest Division office, assembling a team of industry veterans to pursue historic construction opportunities, strengthen long-term growth and support labor and supply chain efficiencies across the region.
Tim
Hanifin, who in October was promoted to President of
Graycor Construction Company, will provide executive oversight and leadership
for the Southwest Division.
Former Project
Executive Rusty Martin has been promoted to Operations Manager. Former
Senior Project Manager Geovanni Villalta was promoted to Construction
Manager.

most desirable and opportunity-rich commercial real estate markets in the
nation,” said Hanifin.

demand and pandemic-induced labor and supply chain disruptions.”
Hanifin started
his career with Graycor as an intern in 1995. . He holds a bachelor’s degree in
Civil Engineering from Northwestern University, is a LEED AP, a member of the
Structural Engineers Association of Illinois and a graduate of Graycor’s Leader
of Leaders development program.Rusty Martin
Since joining Graycor in 2017, Martin – also a 25-year industry veteran – has directed major projects throughout the region. As Operations Manager, he will provide oversight for all Graycor project operations in the Southwest, ensuring consistency and continuous improvement.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in
Construction Management from Brigham Young University, has served as a member
of Graycor’s Continuous Improvement Steering Committee, and is a graduate of
the company’s Leader of Others development program.
Geovanni Villalta |
As Construction Manager, Villalta, with over 20 years of industry experience, will provide oversight for multiple project teams and will develop and manage client relationships in several markets, with a primary focus on industrial projects.
Villalta joined Graycor in 2011, building loyal clientele and completing major, award-winning projects.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology, serves as a member of
Graycor’s Mentoring Committee and is a graduate of the company’s Leader of
Others development program.
As of the end of Q3 2021, metro Phoenix alone had more than 16 million square feet of industrial space and almost 2 million square feet of office space under construction.
The industrial vacancy rate sits at less than 7 percent, with office vacancy holding steady at approximately 21 percent.
