Dark Comedy Short Open House 1-4 Spotlights The Cutthroat Real Estate Industry

Holloway’s film, which recently received the Gold Award from the International Independent Awards, Winter 2020 edition, takes a dark yet humorous look at the intensely competitive and sometimes dangerous real estate industry, marking his directorial debut.

Open House 1-4 places the spotlight on the concept of the cultural phenomenon in the United States, the “open house”.  

Every weekend, realtors fan out across the country planting open house signs, inviting prospective buyers into private residences. But when a snooty realtor in an upscale Florida neighborhood suspects a Latino couple who stops by her open house is there to rob her, she informs her other guests, and all hell breaks loose.

Brad Holloway has been a working screenwriter for twelve years. He sold his first feature script Black Box to Warner Brothers with Lorenzo Di Bonaventura (Transformers).

 He went on to write feature length scripts and pilots for Warner and other major studios, including Paramount, and Lionsgate, working with producers Jason Blum, Michael De Lucaa and Rodrigo Teixeira and director James Mangold. 

His current projects include The Games of 1940 with RT Features (Ad Astra, Call Me Your Name), based on an original idea by David Seidler (Oscar winner for The King’s Speech), Conception with producer Dylan Russell and director Fulvio Sestito, Swine with producer Nikki Stranghetti, and Carnival with Robert Lawrence (The Kingkiller Chronicle with Lin Manuel Miranda, Clueless, Die Hard With A Vengeance).

JLL arranges sale and financing of Conroe, TX apartment property

HOUSTON, TX, April 28, 2020 – JLL Capital Markets announced today that it has closed the sale of and arranged acquisition financing for The Loop Apartments, a 188-unit, Class A luxury apartment community in Conroe, Texas.

JLL marketed the property exclusively on behalf of Apartment Advisors, Inc. and procured the undisclosed buyer.

 In addition, JLL worked on the new owner’s behalf to arrange a fixed-rate Fannie Mae acquisition loan. 

The loan will be serviced by Jones Lang LaSalle Multifamily, LLC, a Fannie Mae DUS lender.

The Loop Apartments is located at 3400 Loop 336 just minutes from Interstate 45 to the north of the Houston metro.

Completed in 2017, the sought-after property consists of eight three-story apartment buildings that house a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans averaging 909 square feet.

ATLANTA, GA, April 29, 2020—Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG), an Atlanta-based, private hotel investment, ownership and management company, today announced it has launched a relief fund for its laid off associates impacted financially by the on-going coronavirus pandemic. 

Launched via GoFundMe across just the corporate office initially, the fund collected more than $20,000 in just two hours and has continued to grow as corporate associates, property associates, property owners and friends of the company continue to contribute.

JLL closes $15.31 million sale of San Diego, CA business park

SAN DIEGO, Calif., April 28, 2020 – JLL Capital Markets announced today that it has closed the $15.31 million sale of Viewridge Business Park, a three-building office park totaling 72,803 square feet in San Diego’s Kearny Mesa area.

JLL marketed the property on behalf of the seller, California-based MIG Real Estate. Dollinger Properties purchased the asset.

Viewridge Business Park is situated on 3.7 acres at 4711, 4715 and 4719 Viewridge Ave. in the heart of San Diego’s Kearny Mesa area, which is home to some of San Diego’s most prestigious national and international companies.
