Brett brings with him
20 years of experience in acquisitions and asset management, the development
and entitlement processes, and negotiating and structuring complex acquisitions
for joint-venture and public and private partnerships.
Brett will be based out of Austin.
EverWest has an active presence in the
Central U.S. with holdings of approximately $1.13 billion in the office,
industrial and multifamily sectors. Across the U.S., the company has $5.5
billion in assets under management.

Birkeland previously served as Managing
Director for ProEquity Asset Management and as Senior Vice President for LNR
Property/Starwood, as well as in development and acquisitions roles.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Economics
from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Georgetown University's
McDonough School of Business.
