Clancy & Theys Picks Up Two Awards for Special Projects

ORLANDO, FL – The Orlando-based Florida Division of Clancy & Theys Construction Company, one of America’s leading contractors, received a prestigious ABC Eagle Award in the 2008 ABC Excellence in Construction Awards Competition for its renovation work at the Renaissance Orlando Resort at SeaWorld,(top left photo) Orlando (Commercial, $5 to $10 Million Category).

The project consisted of the demolition and renovation of the entrance, lobby, atrium, restaurant, sports bar and the addition of a fitness center, game room, Starbucks, emergency generator and media bars, all over an eleven-month period.

The company also received Awards of Merit for the Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority Administration and Operations Center (Commercial, $20 to $50 Million Category) and the City of Lake Mary Events Center (Commercial, $5 to $10 Million Category).

Clancy & Theys Starts Work on Almost $17M Worth of New Projects

Completion of Orange County Public Schools' $14.2 million, 98,797-square-foot elementary school is scheduled for July 2009

ORLANDO, FL – The Orlando-based Florida Division of Clancy & Theys Construction Company, one of America’s leading contractors, is under way on Orange County Public Schools’ new $14.2 million, 98,797-square-foot elementary school located at 5240 Keene’s Pheasant Drive in Windermere, FL, according to Pete Pace, (top right photo) Florida Division CEO for Clancy & Theys.

Designed by SchenkelShultz Architecture, Orlando, the 2-story facility will feature administrative offices, classrooms, art and music suites, a kitchen, dining areas and multi-purpose areas. It will also include a bus loop, parking lot, parent drop-off lane, playfields, outdoor activity areas and site utilities. Completion is slated for July 2009.


Winter Garden's $2.6 million Southside Community Park Will Have Two Softball Fields

WINTER GARDEN, FL – The Orlando-based Florida Division of Clancy & Theys Construction Company, one of America’s leading contractors, has broken ground on the City of Winter Garden’s new $2.6 million Southside Community Park located at 13460 Lake Butler Boulevard in Winter Garden, FL.

Its scope of work for the 20-acre park includes two multi-purpose fields, two softball fields, 130 paved parking spaces, a 1,600-square-foot covered playscape area, a 1,200-square-foot concessions building with kitchen and restroom facilities, a 650-square-foot maintenance building, and all associated utilities and site improvements according to Pete Pace, Florida Division CEO for Clancy & Theys.
Designed by Harvard Jolly, Inc., Orlando, completion of the project is slated for April 2009.

Florida Division of Clancy & Theys Construction Co. ranked 57th largest contractor, according to Building Design + Construction magazine

ORLANDO, FL – The Florida Division of Clancy & Theys Construction Company, Orlando, announced the Raleigh, NC-based company is now ranked as the nation’s 57th largest contractor according to Building Design + Construction magazine’s Giants 300 survey published July 2008.

The company reported 2007 revenues of $563.5 million, a 15% increase over the prior year when it ranked 59th based on 2006 revenues of $491.8 million.

Its Florida Division is led by Pete Pace, (top right photo) a 24-year Florida construction veteran who serves as CEO for statewide operations as well as vice president of the corporation.

“At Clancy & Theys,” said Pace, “we are exceptionally client-focused and measure success by the level of service we provide our clients.”

Under Pace’s leadership, the local division received the Associated General Contractors’ Project of the Year Award and an Associated Builders and Contractors’ Eagle Award for its work at the new $25 million, 190,000-square-foot NASA Operations Support II office building at Kennedy Space Center.
