JLL welcomes Stephanie Phipps to its Value and Risk Advisory platform

 CHICAGO, IL, Oct. 26, 2023 – JLL’s Value and Risk Advisory platform announced today that it has welcomed Stephanie Phipps as a Director within its multi-housing sector led by Executive Managing Director Kai Pan.

Phipps will work alongside the current Build-to-Rent (BTR) subsector team lead Executive Director Jason Allen.

 

Phipps, an experienced Certified General Appraiser, will bring expertise to the subdivision and build-to-rent subsector at JLL, further strengthening the group’s capabilities across the U.S.

Phipps is joining JLL from BBG out of the Pacific Northwest region, where she spent the last seven years. Multi-family, subdivisions and most recently build-to-rent projects are the fields of expertise that have been her focus over the last several years.

 

Phipps holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Texas and is a Candidate for Designation with the Appraisal Institute

Sale of a newly constructed, Class A industrial facility closes in South Dallas, TX

DALLAS, TX–  JLL Capital Markets announced it represented the seller in the sale of Southfield Park 35 – Building 5, an industrial facility totaling 489,310 square feet in DeSoto, Texas.

Cornell Hotel Society Announces The Second Hotelie Hall of Fame Inductees

 ITHACA, NY--The Cornell Hotel Society (CHS) Hall of Fame Nomination/Selection Committee  announced the 2023 honorees to enter the Cornell Hotelie Hall of Fame (HoF).  The honorees will be celebrated during Hotelie Super Sunday on November 12, 2023, at The Pierre in New York City.

JLL Capital Markets led $28 million refinancing for The Landing at Augusta Woods in Spring, TX

ORANGE COUNTY, CA, Oct. 25, 2023 -- JLL Capital Markets announced today that it arranged a $28 million senior mortgage for The Landing at Augusta Woods, a 148-unit senior housing community in Spring, Texas.

JLL represented, Harmony Communities, to secure the four-year, fixed to floating rate loan from a Life Insurance Company to refinance an existing construction loan and fund additional expansion of the community.

The community is comprised of a 120-unit apartment-style complex that provides independent living, assisted living and memory care, and 28 to-be-built independent living duplex-style cottage units.

Rialto Village, NewMark Merrill’s Second Project in the City of Rialto, Grand Opens at 100% Pre-Leased

Rialto, CA, Oct. 25, 2023 – Newmark Merrill Companies, Inc., a Calabasas, California-based retail shopping center owner and development company, is pleased to announce the official opening of Rialto Village, a newly developed 96,011-square-foot grocery anchored center located off the San Bernardino Freeway, off the corner of Riverside Avenue and San Bernardino Boulevard in South Rialto, California.

The company hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new center on Friday, October 13th.

 

Rialto Village is currently 100% percent leased. Sprouts, Burlington, In-N-Out, and Quick Quack Car Wash opened last month.

 

Other merchants scheduled to open in the coming months include Ulta, Five Below, Mochinut, Red Phoenix Nail Salon, West Coast Dental, Coffee Bean, Cold Stone, Nekter Juice Bar, Sharetea, The Joint Chiropractor, AhiPoki Bowl, Every Table, Arrowhead Credit Union, and Mattress Firm.

 

This is NewMark Merrill’s second development in the City of Rialto.  They build the adjoining Wal-Mart anchored Rialto Marketplace, partnering with Pacific Retail Partners, which adjoins this project, and is also 100% leased.

Facilities operations expert Amy Nunziata joins JLL’s Healthcare Work Dynamics team

CHICAGO, IL – JLL has hired Amy Nunziata as an Executive Vice President leading operations nationally for its Healthcare Work Dynamics Division.

 

Nunziata’s impressive career spans more than 25 years of providing leadership, management, direction and oversight of healthcare, research and academic facilities.

 

Her experience includes engineering, design and construction; security; safety; and operations. Most recently, she served as the vice president of facilities operations and engineering at New York-Presbyterian, one of the nation’s most comprehensive, integrated academic healthcare delivery systems.

 

 In that role, she was responsible for the operations of seven hospitals and the environmental health and safety for the entire 10-hospital system.

Based in New York, Nunziata is now responsible for driving the financial performance for JLL’s healthcare clients through real estate and integrated facilities management.
