ORLANDO, FL and CAPE
CANAVERAL, FL --- Rhodes+Brito
Architects, based in downtown Orlando , opened a branch office in Brevard
County staffed with 25 employees to facilitate a major USAF contract the firm
was awarded last year.
The five-year
contract, entitled Tactical Range Architectural and Engineering Services
(TRACES) is specifically for Cape Canaveral Air Force Station 45th Space
Wing in conjunction with Patrick Air Force Base.
Other members of the Rhodes + Brito team are co-founder Max Brito, Byron Lastrapes and Adel Shalaby.

Ruffin Rhodes, principal, said his staff is already more
than seven months into the contract and has received $5.5 million for task
orders currently in design and construction since last summer.
TRACES has
strengthened Rhodes+Brito’s presence as one of Central Florida ’s top 25
architectural practices. The firm has posted an average revenue in excess of $5
million the last three years.
The Air Force
provided the firm an office facility on Cape Canaveral Air Station.
“In order to ensure
the highest capabilities to execute the TRACES tasks while continuing to
provide excellent service to our current clients, our staff increased from 22
to 47 very quickly” said Rhodes.
