ATLANTA,GA -- Atlanta’s largest design firm is welcoming its third generation of leadership with the election of Kyle Reis as President and CEO. He said his first order of business will be building a vision for the design firm of the future.
Founding Principal Jerry Cooper designed the firm so that it would thrive over multiple generations.
Reis’ appointment and Kevin Cantley’s transition to Chairman of the Board come as part of a natural and planned succession that is following Cooper’s model.
Cantley was named
President and CEO in 1995 and has spent the last 26 years growing the firm.

Reis said, “The wisdom, advice, and lessons shared by these two icons of our industry are invaluable resources for me as we go through this time of leadership transition.
"Our firm has always put its people first. It is evident every time I speak with Jerry or Kevin, who seem to remember the names and stories of every person who ever worked here.”
Cantley has long served as a mentor to Reis and will continue to do so in his new role as Chairman. Cooper will also remain involved.
At 91 years old, he still comes to the office every day, serving as an ambassador, muse, cheerleader, resource and inspiration for all of Cooper Carry and the industry which he helped build.

Under Reis’ leadership, Cooper Carry has adopted a new five-year strategic plan. The plan focuses on three main areas: creative capital, agility and growth. Creative capital represents investment in its people.
Cooper Carry is
doubling down on training, design innovation and diversity to continue growing
the firm’s talent pool and value to its clients.
Today, Cooper Carry is the largest design firm in Atlanta, with highly successful offices in Washington, D.C. and New York City.
Cooper Carry employs more than 300 people and
works on projects all over the world, from Dubai to Nicaragua to Texas to
Maine.
