LAS VEGAS, NV -- Skyspace, an ultra-contemporary home with an immersive art-and-sensory experience, is for sale in Las Vegas at $10.5 million.

Located on the Bear’s Best Las Vegas golf course, an 18-hole collection chosen from the best of Jack Nicklaus’s 270 worldwide course designs, Skyspace was created by the owners in coordination with the architecture firm Marmol Radziner, builder Jack Raftery and artist James Turrell.

Composed almost entirely of glass, steel and concrete on 1.5 acres inside a guard-gated community at the base of Red Rock Canyon, Skyscape has unobstructed panoramic views of the Nicklaus golf course, city lights and surrounding mountains.

Jack Raftery
At 13,000 square feet, the home is one of only two homes designed by Radziner in southern Nevada.

The home includes four bedroom suites in the main house, a detached one-bedroom guest house, eight baths, and a multitude of amenities including a subterranean half-basketball court, fitness room, office space, movie theater and expansive wine cellar.

The home’s indoor-outdoor design integrates the desert landscape with bamboo-and-pine trees into the main living spaces and floor-to-ceiling glass walls in nearly every room.
James Turrell

The unique detached formal dining room appears as if it is suspended over the edge of the property and features three completely glass-enclosed walls.

A Scavolini Italian kitchen is surrounded by large windows and the master suite features a modern bathroom with a centered oversized tub.

The home’s outdoor amenities include a private terrace with a Zen garden, jacuzzi, cold plunge and a courtyard with an outdoor kitchen, surround-sound audio system and a pool that overlooks the golf course.

Ivan Sher
There is also a climate-controlled garage hidden from view and walking paths leading to the guest house, dining room, art installation and gardens.

Skyscape’s most unique feature is the home’s lighting display created by Turrell.  According to the listing agent, Ivan Sher of the Ivan Sher Group of Berkshire Hathaway, Las Vegas. “Skyspace is an immersive art-and-sensory experience.

"It captures the natural light of the rising and setting sun, combines that with a sophisticated pattern of lights inside the structure and creates the illusion through its lighting that you are floating through space. It is a truly transformative experience.”

Heather Murren

Skyspace’s advanced light-technology program is available for purchase outside of the home sale.

Murren, former Chairman and CEO of MGM Resorts International and his wife, Heather, have listed their Las Vegas estate, Skyspace, for $10.5 million.

Justin Bieber, at 26, Keeps Rolling Along in his Multi-Million Dollar Vacation Bus

Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, CA -- Justin Bieber has stayed busy during these coronavirus days releasing a tribute song with Ariana Grande for first responders, but mostly spending time with his wife, Hailey, baking cookies, sharing skin treatments and sightseeing the western U.S. in their multi-million-dollar tour bus.

Ariana Grande

While driving a tour bus is not the 26-year-old Justin’s usual way to vacation, it worked out well for the newlyweds which included a weekend campout at a Utah National Park, a side trip to visit Kanye West at his Wyoming ranch, and rumors that they may also soon bus-it to Oregon.

 Kanye West

Justin is almost as famous for his extravagant vacations, now on hold except for the bus trips, as he is for his long list of hit songs and videos.

Sahara Ray

Choosing over a decade of the most expensive vacation rentals, Bieber goes all the way with price no object.  His fan-favorite was likely the spectacular Waterfalling Estate in Hawaii where he arrived in 2016 with six bikini-clad models including then-girlfriend Sahara Ray.

Hailey Rhode Baldwin Bieber

Built at the edge of a waterfall dropping from a clifftop into the sea below, those with deep pockets can vacation there just like Bieber for up to $10,000 per night.

Taylor Swift

Special concierge services tacked on for helicopter sightseeing and extra pampering will add to the package.

About the same time Justin was enjoying the Hawaii home, he spent a week at a  celebrity-favored, 17,422-square-foot house in Park City, Utah, that had also been the winter getaway for Taylor Swift, Larry King and Ashton Kutcher.

Shortly after Justin’s visit, the Park City home went on the market at $15.9 million.

Larry King

With more vacations to the beach, mountains, Italy and France, there was Justin and Hailey’s honeymoon house at Toluca Lake in Los Angeles.

The newlyweds rented it for $100,000 a month; the home was later put on the market at $8.5 million.

Ashton Kutcher

There was also the group vacation when Justin treated his father and family to an oceanfront compound in Barbados at $250,000 a week, and rumors that he just spent $375,000 to reserve a three-week beach home in the Hamptons for later this summer.

Usher
Born March 1, 1994 in London, Ontario, Canada, the five-foot, nine-inch Bieber came to fame as a YouTube sensation for teenage girls at age 13 in 2007 when a talent scout found his channel by accident and signed him to RBMG Records the next year, according to TopTenRealEstateDeals.com.

The Biebers' newly purchased home in Beverly Hills, CA,
 a traditional-style home on a quiet and unassuming cul-de-sac
 just off of Benedict Canyon.
Rapper and businessman Usher became involved in the development of Justin’s career, which has taken him from Canadian government subsidized housing to a net worth of $285 million in just over 10 years.

Having sold more than 150 million records, Justin has won numerous awards including Grammy, American Music, Billboard Music, Latin Grammy, MTV European Music and MTV Video.

Justin relaxin'

Since his marriage to model Hailey Rhode Baldwin, Justin appears to have found both a life partner and a vacation travel mate.

Justin just announced the dates for his rescheduled 2020 concert tour which will kickoff on June 2, 2021 in San Diego.

In the meantime, Justin will likely be returning to their newly purchased home in Beverly Hills, a traditional-style home on a quiet and unassuming cul-de-sac just off of Benedict Canyon.

And maybe find time for a few more vacation bus trips.

Southern Lodging Summit Conference Postpones Physical Event to Host Southern Lodging Summit Virtual Update

Wayne Tabor

MEMPHIS, TN —Officials of the Southern Lodging Summit (SLS), an annual hotel conference focusing on development and operations throughout the southern United States, announced it will postpone this year’s physical gathering due to the on-going coronavirus pandemic.

Instead, the organization will host a “virtual update,” providing pre-recorded sessions to interested parties.

“While there is nothing more we wanted than to host this year’s event in person, Memphis and Shelby County remain in Phase Two of its recovery, meaning we are limited in terms of the number of people who can gather,” said Wayne Tabor, president & CEO, Metropolitan Memphis Hotel & Lodging Association.

Peabody Hotel, Orlando
“Our goal is to provide an educational, personal event for hoteliers to come together to meet and share ideas.  That being said, we strongly believe in ‘safety first’ and will not expose anyone to a potential health risk.

"As a result, we have decided to tape certain sessions and post the material for interested parties.  Even though we can’t bond over ribs at the Rendezvous and southern hospitality at the south’s grand hotel, The Peabody, we still can share knowledge and best practices with one another to help hoteliers find the ‘new normal.’”

The conference will maintain its annual online auction that is scheduled to run from August 10, 2020 through Aug.28, 2020.  Auction items include travel and food & beverage packages from all over the country.
