Hoover, AL – With lake home and lot inventory rising over last spring and preparing to heat up this summer, Lake Homes Realty prepares for long-term growth.

The country’s largest lake-focused real estate brokerage doubled its square footage by moving into a new headquarters in late March, along with RealSource Title Insurance and Real Estate Closings.

Based in Metro Birmingham, Lake Homes Realty currently operates brokerages in 34 states and remains in a rapid growth mode. The hiring of two seasoned real estate executives is a key part of the company’s growth plan.

Joe Gaeta has joined Lake Homes Realty as the Director of Strategic Growth and Kiki Wanshura has been hired as Director of Market Acceleration.

Gaeta has more than 24 years of real estate industry experience, including the past seven years with Zillow Group as Director of Broker Relations.

Wanshura has been in the industry since 1997 and came to Lake Homes Realty from Pacaso where she was on the Industry Relations team for the past two years.

Gaeta and Wanshura will be working closely with Heather Glass, another former Zillow Group executive. Glass was recently named to the newly created position National Director of Development at Lake Homes Realty.

Real Estate Industry Experts Join Lake Homes Realty

“With Joe and Kiki joining Heather along with  the move to our new corporate headquarters, exciting times are ahead for Lake Homes Realty,” said Glenn S. Phillips, CEO and Lead Economic Analyst of Lake Homes Realty.

“The appeal of a primary or secondary lake home on our thousands of lakes remains high and inventory is on the upswing as summer approaches,” said Phillips. “Our lake home buyers and sellers are, for the most part, unaffected by mortgage rates and economic uncertainly,” he said.

SkyBridge Continues Pace at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, Starting Next 250,000 SF

Bridgette Peterson

MESA, AZ – Close on the heels of its 250,000-square-foot “Building 109” groundbreaking, SkyBridge Arizona has started construction on a second 250,000-square-foot building, “Building 108.”

Together, the buildings bring the active Class A industrial construction at SkyBridge Arizona to a half-million square feet.

Jackie Orcutt

The developer joined on April 18 with Graycor Construction CompanyCBRE - Phoenix and local dignitaries to kick off Building 108.

It is the newest building to join the 435-acre mixed-use SkyBridge Arizona master plan, which already includes 134,500 square feet of newly completed office, hangar and aircraft bay space, constructed by Graycor and fully leased by CBRE.

 Pete Wentis

The architect for SkyBridge Building 108 is ADM Group. The general contractor is Graycor Construction Company. Jackie Orcutt, Pete Wentis, Kevin Cosca, Jonathan Teeter and Alex Wentis of CBRE are the exclusive leasing brokers.

"The ingenuity and quality of the SkyBridge development continues to enhance the East Valley for all involved," said Bridgette Peterson, Mayor for the Town of Gilbert and Chair of the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority.

"We appreciate the commitment of SkyBridge to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, celebrate this latest groundbreaking and look forward to the many benchmark celebrations to come."

Kevin Cosca
Located along the southwest portion of Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in Mesa, Arizona, SkyBridge Arizona is slated to become a first-of-its-kind Unified Cargo Processing (UCP) facility, allowing users to complete on-site cargo inspections and processing so that shipments between the U.S. and Mexico can be expedited directly to their destinations in Mexico.

“We have designed and are developing SkyBridge Arizona for the unique needs of those operating in the aviation, air cargo, e-commerce, manufacturing and defense sectors,” said Ariel Picker, President of SkyBridge Arizona and SkyPlus Development.

“The tenants who now occupy our SkyBridge buildings 106 and 107 are representative of those sectors. That is gratifying to watch come to fruition, and a positive indication of what lies ahead for this unique development.”

Jonathan Teeter

Like Building 109, Building 108 will offer 32’ clear height, a 7” reinforced slab on 4” AMC, 30 dock-high and six ground-level doors, and generous power and parking. The building is divisible, allowing it to serve a wide range of tenant types and sizes.

When complete, SkyBridge Arizona will span 1.3 million square feet of aeronautical development, almost 2.2 million square feet of non-aeronautical development and 270,000 square feet of commercial retail and office development.

“The product mix at SkyBridge Arizona is in line with the current demand trajectory of the Mesa Gateway submarket,” said Rusty Martin, Graycor Construction Company’s Southwest Division General Manager.

Rusty Martin
“We are pleased to continue our partnership with SkyBridge Arizona by bringing the next phase of this one-of-a-kind resource to the East Valley, the state and the region.”

At SkyBridge Arizona, Graycor has already completed an 82,500-square-foot, Class A hangar building including office space and four bays to accommodate aircraft as large as a G650 business jet.

Alex Wentis

It has also completed a 52,000-square-foot flex industrial building with 24’ clear height, storefront entries, administrative offices, conference and break areas, and a warehouse component with up to four docks. Both buildings are fully leased to Gulfstream and Top Aces.

SkyBridge continues to pursue end-users with a focus on aeronautical and industrial requirements, in conjunction with economic development teams from the City of Mesa and State of Arizona.

Illustrated Properties Closes $18 Million Luxury Jupiter Residential Sale to Baseball Star Max Scherzer

Lori Schacter

Jupiter, FL  Illustrated Properties continues to be a luxury market leader in the Palm Beaches and beyond. In the latest example, the firm’s Lori Schacter closed the nearly $18 million sale of a waterfront estate in Jupiter’s exclusive Admirals Cove community.

Max Scherzer

Major League Baseball superstar Max Scherzer is the buyer.

Schacter successfully listed the corner lot at 217 Commodore Drive and was able to secure a sale that was close to the property’s asking price. The transaction closed on March 30.

Scherzer, a three-time Cy Young Award winner and World Series champion who currently pitches for the New York Mets, and his wife, Erica, own another high-end home on Commodore Drive.

Erica May Scherzer

Admirals Cove, along with other private club communities in northern Palm Beach County, is extremely popular with professional athletes and other high-profile individuals due to the combination of water, privacy, golf, tennis and other amenities.

Schacter is based in Illustrated’s Jupiter office at 300 W. Indiantown Road and has closed over $1 billion in sales in her time with the firm. She emphasized the potential to renovate the existing home or build a brand-new dream compound when marketing 217 Commodore Drive.

Holly Meyer Lucas

“It is exciting to complete the sale of Commodore Island’s premier corner point lot,” Schacter said. “I was able to leverage my relationships, market knowledge and Illustrated’s unparalleled marketing platform and global network to achieve an optimal result for the seller.”

With direct Intracoastal Waterway views, the more than half-acre 217 Commodore Road property is one of the community’s largest water frontage lots.

Daniel Dennis

The property’s 7,220-square-foot home has five bedrooms, seven-and-a-half bathrooms, an elevator, full-house generator and guest house. It also features a resort-style pool facing the Intracoastal and large entertaining loggias.

“We are extremely proud of Lori’s success and how she navigated this transaction for her sellers,” Illustrated Properties President Daniel Dennis said. “Her experience and knowledge of the ever-changing luxury market is a tremendous asset to both our company as well as our clients.”

Holly Meyer Lucas of Compass represented the buyers.

One of the few country club communities with its own marina, Admirals Cove provides residents with access to 45 holes of golf, a tennis center, yacht club, kids program and five restaurants.
