Leading Manufacturer and Distributor of Survival Equipment Relocates from Miami-Dade to Broward County, FL

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL  – Survitec Survival Products, Inc. has relocated from Medley to the Miramar Park of Commerce, the largest locally owned and managed business park in South Florida.

With the move, Survitec Survival Products expanded its space by 10,000 sq. ft., leasing 26,763 sq. ft. in MPC-28 at the Miramar Park of Commerce. 

From the new facility, the company will supply and maintain life-saving equipment including marine evacuation systems, life rafts and lifeboats for the cruise industry in South Florida.

“As a maritime survival and safety products supplier and service company, the new site is conveniently located between Port of Miami and Port Everglades,” said Survitec Group Americas Director of Operations Kris Kerr. “In addition, the Miramar Park of Commerce provides a convenient, cost-effective and beautiful setting to conduct business.”

For South Florida’s commercial and recreational markets in the marine industry, the facility will provide and service equipment including personal floatation devices, distress signals, immersion suits and electronic beacons. 

“Survitec Group plans to use this site as a launching pad for an increased portfolio of marine services,” said Kerr.

“Since moving to Miramar, Survitec Group has acquired Survitec Survival Craft (SSC), formerly Fort Lauderdale’s Survival Craft Inspectorate, and plans to begin the integration of SSC into the Miramar facility within the calendar year.”

Carlos Velasquez of Vivo Real Estate Group represented Survitec and Maridee Bell and Lauren Pace of Sunbeam Properties, developer of the Miramar Park of Commerce, represented the Park in the transaction.

Marina at Keppel Bay and Bellingham Marine to be conferred the PIANC Marina Excellence Design Jack Nichol Award 2016 in Singapore

SINGAPORE  Marina at Keppel Bay has become the first marina in Asia to be conferred the Marina Excellence Design Jack Nichol Award by The World Association for Waterborne Transport Infrastructure (PIANC), beating other international marinas from Turkey, Croatia and Italy to clinch the title. 

The award was presented  in a ceremony held at the Asia Boating Forum 2016.

Receiving the award on behalf of Marina at Keppel Bay was Mr. Trevor Fong, GM, Marina at Keppel Bay.
