MSI Wins ABC Eagle Award

ORLANDO, FL – Orlando-based Mechanical Services, Inc. (MSI), an EMCOR company, received a prestigious ABC Eagle Award in the 2008 ABC Excellence in Construction Awards Competition for its heating, ventilating and air-conditioning work at Florida Hospital Altamonte’s Patient Services Expansion ($5 to $10 Million Category).

MSI’s scope of work at the new 6-story patient tower and Emergency Department/ICU also included an expanded chiller and boiler plant and state-of-the-art air handling and control systems. Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC, Lake Mary, served as general contractor. The awards were formally presented by the Central Florida chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors at its annual awards banquet on October 4 at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate.

MSI to Host Its 24th Annual MSI-Frontline Golf Benefit Oct. 17

ORLANDO, FL – Orlando-based Mechanical Services, Inc. (MSI), an EMCOR company, continues a 24-year tradition of corporate giving to Frontline Outreach, Inc. with its 24th Annual MSI-Frontline Golf Benefit on October 17.


MSI and its numerous business partners have contributed over $425,000 in cash to the Orlando-based charitable organization since the inception of the event, raising over $60,000 last year alone.

To be held at the Orange County National Golf Center & Lodge, over 200 attendees will invest in one of the community’s most respected organizations to prepare tomorrow’s leaders for success.

MSI Starts Work on Major Expansion of Northrop Grumman’s Clean Rooms and Central Energy Plant in Apopka, FL


ORLANDO, FL – Orlando-based Mechanical Services, Inc. (MSI) is under way on a major expansion of Northrop Grumman’s Clean Rooms and Central Energy Plant in Apopka, FL, near Orlando, under its contract with Gettysburg Commercial Corporation, Orlando. MSI is supplying and installing precise tolerance air conditioning systems designed by Peninsula Engineering, Orlando.
In addition, MSI’s scope of work includes construction of a new Class 10,000 Clean Room including air handling systems, duct work, controls and high efficiency filtration along with a 550-ton expansion of the factory’s Central Cooling Plant.

Orlando-based Mechanical Services, Inc. completes FedEx Central Florida Data Center’s computer room air conditioning system


ORLANDO, FL – Orlando-based Mechanical Services, Inc. (MSI) completed FedEx Central Florida Data Center’s computer room air conditioning systems expansion in Orlando.

MSI’s scope of work included installation of a state-of-the-art Liebert High Density Cooling System which provides precise close tolerance process-cooling for computer servers and racks. The “Pumped Refrigerant™” technology provided by Liebert Corporation reduces first costs and improves energy efficiency over traditional computer room air conditioning technology.

MSI performed the work under its contract with MAPP Construction and the construction team successfully maintained full operation of the FedEx facility during the expansion. “State-of-the-art mechanical systems are a critical component of today’s high-tech office environments,” said William M. TAMPA, FL – Orlando-based Mechanical Services, Inc. (MSI) completed heating, ventilating and air conditioning work at Liberty Property Trust’s new LEED-certified, 3-story, 94,690-square-foot Woodlands Corporate Center office building in Tampa, FL.

MSI’s scope of work included supply and installation of rooftop units with variable air volume boxes, exhaust fans and required ductwork.

Mechanical Services Completes Installation of Automation System at Maitland Summit Office Park

The automation system chosen for this project was the latest version of the Trane Summit system.
