WNC Leaders Present Nine Members of Congress with Defender of Housing Award

IRVINE, CA –– WNC, a national investor in real estate and community development initiatives, announced WNC Chairman Will Cooper Sr. and Chief Executive Officer Will Cooper Jr. presented nine members of Congress from both the Republican and Democratic parties with the Defender of Housing award on behalf of the National Association of Home Builders’ BUILD-PAC.

The award, presented to long-term champions of the U.S. housing industry, was presented to: Representatives Ken Calvert (R-CA); Paul Cook (R-CA); Duncan Hunter (R-CA); Darrell Issa (R-CA); Ed Royce (R-CA), chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and senior member of the Financial Services Committee; Linda Sanchez (D-CA); Norma Torres (D-CA); Maxine Waters (D-CA), ranking member of the Financial Services Committee; and Mimi Walters (R-CA).

BUILD-PAC is the NAHB’s national political action committee formed to help elect pro-housing candidates to congress in order to defend housing and the home building industry, guard against harmful regulations and protect industry businesses. The Coopers serve as trustees of BUILD-PAC.

Berger Commercial Realty Secures Nearly 15,000 SF in Lease Transactions for Tenants in South Florida

 FORT LAUDERDALE, FL -- Berger Commercial Realty brokers recently secured 14,934 square-feet in lease transactions for tenants in South Florida.

Broker Associate Roxanna Collins represented Florida Iron Doors in leasing 12,349 square-feet of space from Ivy Quorum Property, LLC at the Quorum Business Park, located at 620 to 852 S. Military Trail in Deerfield Beach. 

A manufacturer and supplier of hurricane and impact resistant wrought iron doors, Florida Iron Doors relocated its facility in Pompano Beach and expanded by more than 6,000 square-feet.

Sales Associate Lawrence Oxenberg represented Noire the Nail Bar in leasing 1,500 square-feet of retail space from DDRAM Paraiso Plaza, LLC at Paraiso Plaza, located at 3300 W. 80th Street in Miami. The space will function as a nail salon and spa.

Palm Beach County Managing Director and Tenant Representation Specialist Michael Feuerman also represented Guggenheim Securities, LLC in renewing its lease for 1,085 square-feet of office space at One Financial Plaza, located at 100 S.E. 3rd Ave. in Fort Lauderdale.
