Veteran multi-housing brokers join JLL Capital Markets in Atlanta

ATLANTA, GA – JLL Capital Markets announced John Weber and Bill Shippen have joined the firm’s Atlanta office focused on multi-housing investment advisory transactions in the Atlanta area and greater southeastern United States.

Kym Seaborn also joins the team as an Operations Manager.

Weber, who joins JLL as a Senior Managing Director, has more than 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry.

He will oversee the Southeast multi-housing investment advisory team, including Vic Ciancetta in Atlanta and Ian Anderson and Anne McGinn in Nashville.

William Shippen

During the course of his career, he’s closed more than $13 billion in transactions. He was a founding partner of Atlanta-based Apartment Realty Advisors, which was later acquired by BGC Partners/Newmark Knight Frank, where he fulfilled the position of Vice Chairman and spent the bulk of his career.

Anne McGinn

 Weber is an active member of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC), Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors (ACBR) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI).

 He resides in Atlanta where he is actively involved in several charitable organizations, including Atlanta Dream Center and he is the former president, now board member, of Northside Athletes Foundation.

Vic Ciancetta 

Shippen joins JLL as a Managing Director with more than 20 years of experience in the multi-housing industry.

He specializes in large scale, value-add multi-housing properties that benefit from repositioning and redevelopment strategies.

 Prior to joining JLL, he was a Principal at Apartment Realty Advisors and an Executive Managing Director at Newmark Knight Frank.

Shippen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia and a Master of Science in Real Estate from George State University.

He formerly served as the President of the Real Estate Alumni Club at GSU and is an active member of the ACBR, the BSA and various civic and social organizations in Atlanta.
