Regal signs 87,046 SF lease at Douglas Emmett’s legendary Sherman Oaks Galleria in California's San Fernando Valley

 LOS ANGELES, CA – Legendary open-air business and lifestyle center Sherman Oaks Galleria announced it has secured an 87,046-square-foot lease with Regal to occupy the former ArcLight Cinemas space which closed in April 2021.

 The new Regal theatre is scheduled to open soon, with a full remodel planned shortly after opening.

Regal Sherman Oaks Galleria will eventually feature 3 premium format auditoriums including IMAX, 4DX and ScreenX and will also include a VIP section with upgraded auditoriums featuring luxury recliners, reserved seating, an enhanced menu and lounge.

“We are happy to add the great location of Sherman Oaks Galleria to our circuit,” said Mooky Greidinger, CEO of Cineworld, parent company of Regal.

 “We plan to open the theatre as soon as possible and start refurbishing the location to be in line with our strategy of bringing our customers ‘The Best Place to Watch a Movie.’”

The lease with Regal reflects the continued strength of the Sherman Oaks Galleria over the past few years. In 2020 alone, Starbucks, 24 Hour Fitness, and Paul Mitchell School all signed long-term lease renewals for a combined total of over 58,000 square feet.

Even with the COVID-19 pandemic, these name-brand tenants demonstrated their commitment to the Sherman Oaks Galleria.

Sherman Oaks Galleria is a centrally located, open-air business and lifestyle center that includes Class-A office space overlooking a retail and entertainment complex.
