NewMark Merrill Companies’ Sandy Sigal Honored by California Business Properties

Woodland Hills, CA – NewMark Merrill Companies, a Woodland Hills, California-based retail shopping center development company, announced that President and CEO Sandy Sigal is being honored by California Business Properties Association (CBPA) with the Ernest W. Hahn Award during its Awards Dinner on March 24.

 The award is given to an individual and/or organization that go above and beyond the call of duty to impact legislative, regulatory, or public policy issues on behalf of the real estate industry.

Ernest W. Hahn

Ernest W. Hahn was a well-known and respected developer of regional shopping centers. He began building his career in 1946 in San Diego, CA as a general contractor specializing in retail store construction. 

His firm, a partnership called Hahn-St. John, grew rapidly to become the largest general contractor in the United States specializing in retail store construction. 

In 1958, Mr. Hahn purchased his partner's interest, and founded Ernest W. Hahn, Inc. Today, the firm is known as The Hahn Company.
