In this role, Maldonado will leverage his three decades of international experience in the construction industry to grow Unispace Life Sciences’ footprint across the region. Unispace Life Sciences is part of Unispace Group, a global strategy, design, and construction leader creating people-centric spaces with purpose—across offices, labs and life sciences facilities, hospitality and sports venues, and retail spaces.

Prior to joining Unispace Life Sciences, Maldonado held a senior management role at DPR Construction, where he led growth initiatives for several of the firm’s core sectors, including healthcare, life sciences and advanced technology.
Maldonado also spent 20 years with Skanska in a variety of construction roles,
from project manager on building sites to senior vice president of business
development, giving him a wealth of experience across Latin and North America.
Maldonado holds a
bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering from Salta
National University, Argentina; a master’s degree in project management from
the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain; and a Master of Business
Administration from Austral University in Argentina.
Maldonado
has actively collaborated with several industry associations, including CoreNet
Global, American Institute of Architects, the New York Building Congress, the
Association for the Improvement of American Infrastructure, and the Partnership
for NYC.
