TAMPA, FL, April 26, 2016 – Wendover Housing Partners, a
privately held real estate development, investment and management company,
today announces the opening of its first affordable senior community in Tampa, Haley Park Apartments.
The new property is a
member of the prestigious collection of properties in Florida built and managed
by Wendover Housing Partners.
With first-class design standards in mind, Haley
Park provides income restricted residents age 55 and up with a safe and upscale
community to call home.
“The National Housing
Conference predicts that the number of Florida residents age 65 and older will
more than double by the year 2030,” said Jonathan
L. Wolf, President and Founder of Wendover Housing Partners.
“As the
state’s aging population increases, there is an immediate need for
cost-effective rental homes for seniors, especially in metro areas near
hospitals and doctors’ offices. Haley Park will help address this rising need
in Hillsborough County.”
Wendover broke ground on
the 80-unit Haley Park development in June 2015, and will welcome its first
residents in May. Each one and two-bedroom unit in Wendover’s new community was
thoughtfully designed with senior comfort and safety in mind, and comes equipped
with a dishwasher, microwave, island and pantry, as well as a full-size washer
and dryer.

All units also boast ample
storage areas in an open and spacious floor plan, as well as a monitored
emergency call system.
With monthly rent from $605 to $720, Haley Park’s
apartments are priced far below Florida’s average range of $1,176 to $1,657.
“While our units are
affordable, they are designed with the same style and amenities you’ll find in
high-end apartment communities,” said Wolf. “Our goal is not just to fill
apartments—we believe in fostering a community in which our residents feel
socially stimulated and supported.”
Like Wendover’s other
senior properties in Florida, which include New Port Richie’s The Landings at
Sea Forest, Jacksonville’s Marcis Pointe, and Central Florida’s Heritage
Village Commons, Haley Park provides residents with the opportunity to
participate in planned resident events.
Residents are also offered constant access to
a variety of indoor and outdoor areas to socialize, including a fitness center,
library, swimming pool, green space with benches and a gazebo, and a dog park.
