Los Altos, CA, May 11, 2022 – Institutional fund manager and value-add investor Interstate Equities Corporation (IEC) has announced the appointment of Brendan Gibney to Director of Investments as part of the firm’s commitment to strategic, ongoing growth.
With the promotion, Gibney, who previously served as the IEC’s Vice President of Acquisitions, will further deepen his integral role and lead the firm’s acquisition activity, according to Marshall Boyd, Co-President and Chief Investment Officer of IEC.
“Brendan started at IEC six years ago as a Senior Associate and has since taken on greater responsibilities within the company," says Boyd.

Prior to IEC, Gibney was at Partners Group based in their San Francisco office covering North American real estate.
Previously, he was on the Investments Team at The JBG Companies (now JBG-Smith) where he acquired, sold and recapitalized properties across all asset classes.
Gibney graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.B.A. in Management.
