Three Partners Join Seyfarth’s Growing Platform on the East Coast

ATLANTA, GA, March 28, 2022 -- Seyfarth announced today the arrival of three partners to its East Coast presence.

 

 In New York, Immigration partner Jacob Cherry joins the firm’s premier Labor & Employment department and Seth Liebenstein joins Seyfarth’s world-class Real Estate team.

Cherry and Liebenstein are the latest additions to Seyfarth’s growing New York office which added 39 attorneys in 2021, including five new partners.

About the New Partners:

  • Jacob Cherry joins Seyfarth from Ogletree Deakins where he was a member of its Immigration practice group in New York. Joining Cherry in his move to the firm is senior counsel Andrea Davis in Charlotte.
  • John P. Napoli
    Cherry provides comprehensive business immigration and worksite compliance representation to global companies, with a focus on supporting the cross-border movement of employees working in the technology, life sciences, and financial services sectors.
  • He serves as an advisor to clients on the development and execution of strategic and compliant immigration program management.

    Cherry earned his J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and his B.A. in International Studies from Emory University.

    Davis provides a full menu of sophisticated employment-based immigration services.
  • She regularly counsels employers on immigration compliance, regulation, and leads large client portfolio work.

  • Davis earned a J.D. from the University of North Carolina, a M.A. from San Jose State University, and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
  • Seth Liebenstein joins Seyfarth from Blank Rome where he was a member of its Real Estate team in New York.
Ashley J. Sherwood
  •  Liebenstein guides property owners and developers nationwide on financing, acquisitions, and restructuring, among many other complex areas of transactional real estate law.
  • His clients comprise nearly every sector of the commercial real estate industry, including single-family, retail, and condominiums/cooperatives.
          
  • Liebenstein earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and his B.A. from Binghamton University.
  • Kamran Mirrafati
    Christy Kiely joins Seyfarth from Hunton Andrews Kurth where she was a member of its Labor and Employment team in Richmond, VA.

  • Kiely’s practice focuses on data analytics, including OFCCP audit defense, pay equity analysis, adverse impact analysis, affirmative action compliance, DE&I analysis, and reeducation in force (RIF) analysis.

  • She also defends businesses in employment litigation matters in front of the EEOC and at state and federal courts.

    Kiely earned her J.D., with honors, from Duke University School of Law and her B.A., cum laude, from The College of William & Mary.

George Oliver and GO Industrial Deepen Leadership Bench with Industry Veterans

PHOENIX, AZ– Phoenix-based developers George Oliver and GO Industrial have completed multiple new hires and promotions, deepening the leadership bench of the sister companies to pursue millions of square feet of new construction and redevelopment in the Southwest and Western U.S. office and industrial markets.

 

Hired not long after George Oliver’s formation in 2019, Nick Ray has been promoted to Vice President, overseeing all acquisitions, asset management and property operations for George Oliver and GO Industrial.

 

 Ray previously served as a company Director, helping to manage landmark George Oliver office redevelopments such as CASA in North Phoenix, 


Jack Clarizio

Jack Clarizio has been hired as Vice President of Finance, overseeing all finance, accounting and structuring for George Oliver and GO Industrial. A 10-year industry veteran, Clarizio moves to the companies after nine years at nationally acclaimed accounting firm RSM, where he served as Tax Senior Manager.

 

Josh Schifferer has been hired as Development Manager, managing the design and construction of all GO Industrial projects.

 

Schifferer joins GO Industrial from Sun State Builders, where he served as Project Manager.

Ray holds a bachelor’s degree in International/Global Studies from Ohio State University and a master’s degree in Real Estate Development (MRED) from Arizona State University. He currently serves on the board of the MRED ASU Alumni Chapter.

Clarizio holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a master’s degree in Taxation, both from Arizona State University.

 

Schifferer holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Real Estate from Arizona State University. He is a Procore Certified Project Manager, a licensed Arizona Real Estate Salesperson and an active member of NAIOP, including serving on the organization’s Education subcommittee.


Snedeker holds a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Arizona State University. He is an active member of NAIOP and currently services on board of directors for Science of Sport, a non-profit dedicated to developing curriculum and programming that promotes STEM.
