ORLANDO, Fla. -- Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, LLC, based in Orlando’s Baldwin Park, which ranks as one of the largest commercial architectural firms in the southeast, was recently awarded contracts to design renovations for Sweetbay grocery store facilities in Sarasota, St. Petersburg and South Pasadena, CA.

Cuhaci & Peterson Architects Awarded Contract to Design Pizza Hut Restaurant facilities in Georgia, South Carolina

ORLANDO, FL. --- Cuhaci & Peterson Architects LLC, based in Orlando’s Baldwin Park, was recently awarded a contract to design two Pizza Hut restaurant facilities in Baxley, Georgia and Bluffton, South Carolina.

Jed Downs, president of Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, said Yum Brands, Inc., the Louisville, Ky. Company that owns the Pizza Hut, KFC, Taco Bell and Long John Silver’s brands and ranks as the largest restaurant company in the world, awarded the contracts.

Both restaurant facilities will total 1,200 square feet of space, Downs said.

Cuhaci & Peterson Architects awarded contract to renovate Inn on The Beach in Daytona Beach

ORLANDO, Fla. - Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, LLC, the architectural firm that designs more than one million square feet of retail space annually, was recently awarded a contract to renovate the Inn on the Beach (top right photo) located on U.S. A1A in Daytona Beach.

Lonnie Peterson, chairman of Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, LLC, based in Orlando’s Baldwin Park, said Humphrey Realty Corp. awarded the contract.

Renovation work on the property should start in late summer, Peterson said.

Cuhaci & Peterson Architects Awarded Contracts to Design Retail Centers in Seminole, Sumter Counties

Completes Designs of Publix Supermarket in Coral Springs

ORLANDO, Fla. — Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, Inc. based in Orlando’s Baldwin Park, was awarded a contract to design retail centers in Seminole and Sumter Counties.

Lonnie Peterson, chairman at Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, said the firm recently started design work to build the 10,000 square foot Orange Commons a retail center, Primerica Group I, Inc. of Tampa is developing on S.R. 46 and Orange Blvd. in Seminole County.

Cuhaci & Peterson Architects recently started design work to build Bushnell Commons, (map top left) a 10,000 square foot retail center at C.R. 48 and I-75 in Bushnell. Peterson said Bushnell Equity is developing the facility.

The Orlando-based architectural firm recently competed design of a new Publix Supermarket under construction in Coral Springs. Brandon Company of Orlando is developing the 45,000 square foot facility.

Cuhaci & Peterson Architects awarded contract to design new prototype facility for Checkers Drive-in Restaurants

ORLANDO, FL--- Cuhaci & Peterson Architects has been awarded a contract to design a new prototype facility for Tampa-based Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, the nation’s largest chain of double drive-thru restaurants with more than 820 facilities in 29 states and the District of Columbia.

Lonnie Peterson, (top right photo) chairman of Cuhaci & Peterson, said the redesign will reflect new Checkers menu items and a new positioning strategy.

“Most Checkers Restaurants are freestanding facilities that average about 700 square feet of space,” Peterson said. “The new prototype, which will likely be adopted nationwide, positions the restaurant as an endcap facility of approximately 1,500 square feet.”

Endcap facilities, which will feature Checkers’ prized drive-through along with dine-in facilities, are located at the end of a retail strip center. Peterson said the new endcap design will provide Checkers franchise owners more flexibility to lease space in existing strip retail centers.

ORLANDO – Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, Inc. based in Orlando’s Baldwin Park, has been awarded a contract to handle remodeling work on three Food Lion supermarkets in North Carolina.

The firm will be creating the remodels for Food Lion stores in Columbus, Shelby and Kings Mountain, N.C., according to Lonnie Peterson, chairman of Cuhaci & Peterson. The projects are currently in site analysis/design stage and the construction is slated to begin in January 2009.

Cuhaci & Peterson Architects Awarded Contract to Design Remodeling of Three Food Lion Supermarkets in Virginia

ORLANDO, FL – Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, based in Orlando, has been awarded a contract to design the remodeling of three Food Lion supermarkets in Virginia.

In another project, Cuhaci & Peterson completed design work for a 40,000 square foot mixed use retail and office facility located on Vineland Rd. near Kirkman across from Universal Studios. JNS Management of Miami is developing the two-story retail-office complex.

In Clermont, FL, Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, won a contract to design the Ladybird Daycare Center which is under development. Ladybird Enterprises of Orlando is developing the 8,000 square foot center.

ORLANDO, FL – Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, Inc., based in Orlando, has been awarded a contract to design unique retail facilities totaling 62,000 square feet at Christenbury Corners (top photo) retail center in Concord, North Carolina.
