MASCOTTE, FL --- Blackton, Inc., one
of Central Florida’s largest and most active suppliers of materials for the
homebuilding industry, was awarded a contract from Stanley Martin Homes to
provide flooring for Sunset Lakes Estates, a new single-family home community
in South Lake County.
Micky Blackton, chief
executive officer of the Orlando-based firm, said the contract with the Reston,
VA-based homebuilder valued at approximately $500,000 includes high-end
flooring materials for 134 new three- and four-bedroom homes ranging from 1,350
to 2,856 square feet of living area.

Blackton said his firm is expanding at its
Leesburg location to provide all new and longtime customers who build in Lake,
Sumter, Marion, Alachua and Citrus counties with a better turnaround time.
Earlier this year Blackton was awarded a
contract from Stanley-Martin to supply 140 new homes at their community of
Sorrento Pines, also in Lake County.
The family-owned business headquartered on Alden Road north of downtown Orlando has been supplying the home building industry from Jacksonville to Tampa for over 65 years.
